“Living in Las Vegas, Nevada” by Las Vegas Elopement Photographer Black Salt Photography

We all know the Las Vegas stereotypes. Even locals living in Las Vegas recognize the main attractions here. Sex appeal, booze, and gambling are always an easy sell when it comes to the general human population. But I want to show you the other side. The local attractions, the nature, and the beauty that Las Vegas has to offer to anyone willing to look.

What I mean when I say I live in Las Vegas.

The wedding industry here is like no other place on Earth. Hundreds of people get married in Clark County every day of the year. Our license bureau is open 8 am to 12 am 7 days a week just to help with the constant overflow of couples feeling madly in love. If you walk down the street in a wedding dress, you’ll get no less than 25 “congratulations” from complete strangers. In some ways, Vegas is the ultimate Hype Girl.

Read my blog How to Get Married in Las Vegas if you want more quick facts on just how easy it is here.

Locals tend to avoid the strip on a regular basis. We prefer to explore all of the mountains, hot springs, and eateries rather than the hullabaloo of the strip. Did you know that Las Vegas has mountains with snow, natural hot springs, sand dunes, canyons, AND beautiful rivers?

Vegas can be a beast to contend with, but the nature is just begging to be explored. You’ll want to be careful though, depending on the time of year. Some of the trails are completely closed off during the summer because it gets over 120 degrees.

Anyway, I wrote this blog because I just wanted to share some beautiful images for no reason. So please enjoy my personal landscape collection of what it’s like to live in Las Vegas.
