A January Oregon Coast Elopement at Thor’s Well | Cape Perpetua

Olivia and Cameron had a vision for their elopement. A dream that danced with the possibility of a mountain, forest, or beach setting – the kind of place where nature itself tells stories. They fell in love with many scenic locations, but something magical about the natural bridges tugged on them. This inspired their Oregon elopement location at Thor’s Well near Cape Perpetua. A place that, in its own way, held a little piece of everything they love. Their elopement day unfolded with grace, natural, and easy-going. There was no script to follow, just moments that flowed. It was a celebration of authenticity, a glimpse into the beautiful chaos of real life, kids and all.

AN ADVENTUROUS OREGON COAST ELOPEMENT AT THOR’S WELL

These two had a simple dream for their special day – to start with a relaxed morning, elope, explore the area, and conclude with a cozy dinner back at their Airbnb. It all began as they got ready, made breakfast for the kiddos, and shared their first-look photos at the Airbnb. Then, we headed to the Cape Perpetua stone shelter, where their ceremony awaited.

This Thor’s Well elopement was special to me in more ways than one. It marked my first time capturing a groom in a kilt – a detail I absolutely loved! Both the bride and groom had walked down the aisle before, and this time around, they were determined to have their day their way, with no stress in sight. My husband also had the honor of officiating their ceremony. Mother Nature graced us with an incredible sunset, a surprise on what was supposed to be a moody day.
